Welcome To My Portfolio
My story
I am a photographer from Northern Norway, shaped by the Arctic landscape and its demanding conditions. Years of working under low winter light and the midnight sun have taught me patience, technical precision, and how to work in challenging environments. Much of my experience comes from photographing fjords, mountains, coastal ice, and the changing skies of the north.
My main focus is nature photography, including landscapes, birds, and mammals. I aim to document both the scale of the environment and the smaller details that define it — from wide panoramic scenes to close observations of wildlife such as ptarmigan or reindeer. Light, weather, and seasonal changes play a central role in my work, and I strive to capture the atmosphere as well as the subject.
In addition to nature photography, I have worked in sports and journalistic photography. Shooting action in harsh conditions has strengthened my technical skills and ability to react quickly, while documentary assignments have trained me to tell human stories connected to place. These experiences influence my nature work and vice versa, improving both timing and composition.
I have lived and worked in Tromsø, Finnmark, and Vesterålen, gaining experience in both coastal and inland environments. I am now based in Trondheim, where I continue to develop projects that explore the connection between northern nature and the people who live there. My approach is practical, patient, and rooted in the places I photograph.
